Conditional Fields

I am new at using this plugin, so apologies.
I am using the Grades field type with 18 ‘items’ to allow golfers to enter their score for a round of golf. This works OK for a single golfer, but wanted to add the option of being able to enter the scores for up to 4 players. If I asked the user to enter the number of players in the group, I was thinking Conditional fields would allow me to show only the fields for the number of players entered and hide the entry boxes for the rest. But this does not dynamically redraw the screen after setting the value. Also, this gets cumbersome and a for/next loop would seem to be easier. Do you have any suggestions as to how best to acheive this?
