Conditional Logic for GEOmyWP + BP Members Locator

    I’m using GEOmyWP + BP Members Locator. They are buddypressThe site is searching/filtering the BuddyPress XProfile fields data. The site has a LOT of variables, and I’m hoping to find a way to make these search parameters conditional logic.

    It would only show the fields based on the the options selected, for example:

    I’m searching for:
    1) Musician
    2) Mechanic
    3) Lawyer

    if #1 is selected, then it shows the appropriate fields:

    1) Music Genre (checking this then shows the sub categories: Rock, punk, jazz, etc)
    2) Years of Experience (checking this then shows the ranges years)
    3) Instruments played (checking this shows wide variety of instruments to select)

    Any thoughts or suggestions here? Or any alternative suggestion to get a Buddypress Google map with the ability to search for users with XProfile information?

    Hello @bmacko,

    Showing/hiding specific fields based on the selection of another field is not an option by default. However, this might be possible with a custom javascript function.

    Or any alternative suggestion to get a Buddypress Google map with the ability to search for users with XProfile information?

    GEO my WP core plugin along with the Members Locator core extension already provides you with such features. You can use GEO my WP’s forms builder to create a Members Locator search form that will search and find members based on location and xprofile fields. You can see a live demo here.

    Thank you so much for your reply! Curious, would creating/implementing that custom javascript function to create the conditional logic be something I would be able to contract you for? I’m trying to get this up and working for a client asap.
