Conditionals don’t work with colour swatch

I have set up a selection of colour swatches. If someone selects a particular swatch, I want a text field to appear. I can get it working with other selectors (e.g. checkbox or radio) but not with the colour swatches.

It looks like the options in the swatch are not stored in a way the condition will be able to select it, like it does with the other option fields. Is there a way to make this happen?
