    Hi
Thank you so much for a super plugin. The plugin is really easy to work with and has so many options ??

I’m doing a screening for highly gifted students. I have calculations on radiobuttons, which indicates the score. The screening have a part 1 and a part 2. I have conditions on part 2 of the screening, so it appears only if the score on part 1 exceeds a certain limit. It works correctly on the screen. The calculated score is correct and it will skips part 2 if the score is too low. Thats perfect ?? Unfortunately, it seems that I can not include the calculated fields in our email response. I get zero values even though I should have scored points. Meening all radiobuttions with condition, are not included in the score when I include the calculated filed in the email – it seems. Am I doing something wrong or …?

    Hi @lotteludvigsen,

Glad to hear you like the plugin. I’m afraid, I don’t see any form in the mentioned page URL you have shared.

Since your query includes the email notifications and their relevant fields, it would be helpful if you could share the form export to have a better idea of what’s causing it to show zero values instead of the score.

Please do share the form export in the next reply so that we could check further regarding this. You can use Google Drive, Dropbox or any such cloud services to share a link to the export.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Thank you for quick respond

This is the URL with the form: https://shineakademiet.dk/ny-screening/

The email as it is right now for test is looking like this:

All calculated fields are shown correctly at the site.

    Hello @lotteludvigsen

Please export your form settings, upload that in a service like Dropbox or Pastebin or similar and share the link here with us.
Here’s how to export form settings:

    Thank you,

I think this is similar to the issue I just posted about on 10.1

Values in radio buttons and checkboxes are not being passed on to emails directly in 10.1

I have rolled back to .9 and it is working

Voila – here is a link to the export file in dropbox.

To me it seems like the calculated fields are not valued correctly in the email, if there is a condition on the formfield. Maybe I’m using the fields incorrectly.Hope you can help me.

    Hi @lotteludvigsen,

Thank you for the form export.

This is a known issue, the calculation field is picking up the option value instead of the calculation value when using the visibility conditions hence the following error shows up in the email.

Error: Detected unknown or invalid string identifier

Our developers are aware of this and are already working on a fix for this. An update will be rolled out with a fix as soon as possible.

    Kind Regards,

Ok nice to hear of an update ?? Do you have an expected release date? Are we talking about days, weeks or months? I am considering whether I should wait for the new release or come up with a completely different solution. What do you think?

    Hello @lotteludvigsen ,

We have released a new version of the Forminator. Can you update plugin and see if you still can replicate the problem?

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    (@lotteludvigsen)

    Hi Kasia
I have updated the plugin and i can still replicate the problem – unfortunately.
    The issue is:
I have 3 calculated fields. When I complete the questionnaire, these fields are calculated correctly. BUT when I have to use these calculated fields in my emails, the value is not included.

    – both as conditions for which mail is to be sent
    – and if I want to show the calculated value in the email

The first value is included correctly. The next two calculated values are zero.`

I have a video in dropbox showing the issue

    Hi @lotteludvigsen

I hope you are doing well.

The shared form looks a bit different from the video, but I modified the calculation adding for example instead of {radio-1} + {radio-2} to ( {radio-1} ) + ( {radio-2} )

Can you please test this form?

    Dear Patrick
Thank you for modifying the form. Im not sure how to test your modifications. I have tried to change {radio-1} + {radio-2} to ( {radio-1} ) + ( {radio-2} ). And it didn’t result in any changes. My problem is not that the calculated fields are not being calculated. They are calculated perfectly ok.

    My problem is:
I have 3 calculated fields. And as you may see from the video, the first calculated value is visible in the mail. The next two will be zero – regardless of whether they had a value> 0 on the screen. I need to differentiate the mails depending on the calculated fields and therefore need to know the value of all the calculated fields in the conditions for the mails. But number 2&3 calculated field will always be equal to 0.

Did that make sense? Hope it did ??

    Hi @lotteludvigsen

You need to import the form:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

However, I did some extra tests and it indeed fixed calculation 1 and 3 are showing fine in email, but the 2 still not working.

I sent the form to our developers for a closer look, we will update once hearing back from the team.

    Hi @lotteludvigsen

I hope you are doing well.

Our developer found an issue on in the conditionals and we reported to the plugin team, it works if we modify the rule:

Can you please try to import this form:

And check if everything is working now?

Let us know the result you got.
    Best Regards
