config option to NOT linkifyVideo() ?

could you add a configuration setting to have it NOT linkifyVideo() ?
I don’t want it doing that, but I do want it parsing the messages to create links. I have the linkifyVideo() function hacked to just return $text; right at the top.
Thoughts?
