configged for commetns but shows ‘comments closed’?

    not sure what we’re doing wrong here; according to the dashboard we’re set to accept comments, no need to be a member, yet on the blog it clearly says “Comments are closed.”

    Just a guess: if the post has been written/published earlier when your settings were NOT as they are now (i.e. let’s say the comments were not allowed), then chenging the settings does not have a “retroactive” effect. The new settings will be applied only to new posts.

    Note. The settings also can be changed on a post by post basis.

    doesn’t seem to be it.

    the last comment i can see within the dashboard>comments for editing is last september.

    in fact i can’t see where comments might be disallowed (we do have askimet activated)
