Configure GCMP to work with Timely’s All-in-One Event Calendar

I would really like to figure out how to get the this plugin to work with Timely’s went plugin. They are a natural match since the latter records lat/long coordinates and has embedded google maps. However, the only way I to get GCMP to map events is adding the shortcode to each individual event. There are two big problems with this:

1) It is not automated
2) Expired events continue to display on the map

I imagine that it would be possible to insert custom code into event posts that generates GCMP shortcode if (and only if) the event was still active. However, I would need some help figuring out where I would start with this effort. In any case, it would certainly make this plugin infinitely more useful since Timely’s All-in-One Event Calendar is so popular with WordPress.
