Configuring for 2 languages

Is it possible to to configure the slider for 2 languages without having to create the same slideshow again? The images will be the same it’s just the text changes. I tried using shortcode [:en] etc. but the code just shows up in both languages. Maybe some alteration in the php would make that work? Any help appreciated!
