Is it possible to configure the OAuth Single Sign-On (SSO) plugin to only show the SSO authentication for admin logins, while allowing other users to access the website without seeing the authentication prompt, if we have connected three sites using the plugin?

    Hello @bharathivajra12

Yes, it is possible to allow only admin users to log in via SSO while other users log in using their username and password. However, please note that this functionality is not available in the free version of the plugin. This can be achieved through an add-on that is available with the paid version.

If you’re interested, we would be happy to provide a demo of the product to showcase this feature.

Please note that our plugin operates with an instance-based policy. This means that you will need to install the plugin separately for each environment, as it cannot be used across multiple environments with a single installation.

If you have any further questions or would like to schedule a demo, please let us know.

    Thank you

    Hi,

    Hello,

Please find the steps below for configuring the SSO:

    • Set up SSO with your Identity Provider (IDP).
    • Configure the addon, and select the option for allowed role as Administrator for SSO.
    • Once completed, you’re all set!

    End user experience:

    • The user will visit the WordPress login form.
    • Upon entering credentials, our plugin will verify if the user is an admin.
    • If yes, the user will be redirected to the IDP login page for authentication and to complete the SSO process.

Let me know if you need any further information.

    Hi

    Thank you for your email.

I have another question regarding our domain, mysite.com. We have subfolders such as mysite.com/site1mysite.com/site2, and mysite.com/site3. If we have a license for mysite.com, is it possible to use the same license for these subfolders as well?

    Looking forward to your clarification.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello @bharathivajra12

To provide you with the most accurate assistance, could you please confirm if by “subfolder” you are referring to a subsite within a multisite WordPress network, or if it’s a single-site WordPress environment set up in a subfolder, which you are using as a non-production environment?

Your clarification will help us address your question more effectively.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thank you

Yes, I am referring to a subsite within a multisite network. Also, all the sites are in a production environment.

Thank you for the details. If you are using a multisite network, I would recommend utilizing the multisite plan of the plugin. This plan provides you with full control, allowing you to enable SSO for any of the subsites as needed.

Which plan? Please Can you send me a plan link?

Please refer to the link for details about the OAuth Single Sign-On (SSO) plugin pricing and plans: [Product Link].

Additionally, if you would like to try the premium features of the plugin, you can take advantage of a trial on our sandbox environment: [Sandbox Trial].

Thanks for the sandbox trail. In this trail, can we enable, that authentication only for admin users?

The add-on required for your use case is not currently available in the sandbox environment. I will request that the team upload it to your sandbox environment.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Could you please guide me on how to restrict the WordPress admin login page to be visible only for admin users? For example, when I (as an admin user) try to access?mysite.com/wp-admin/, only I should see the login page. If an editor or any other user attempts to access it, the miniorange login page should not be visible to them, normal wordpress login should be shown to them.
