Configuring options doesn’t work

    When trying to update the options nothing changes. I’ve tried disabling core updates and the Working thing appears for a second then disappears and the changes never take place. Have tried other configuration options and the same thing.
    MySQL – 5.6.32-78.0-log
    PHP – 5.6.30
    WordPress – 4.9.8
