    I believe I was using wordpress 2.03 (I believe I successfully installed it).
    Tonight I followed the 2.04 upgrade guidelines. My blog is accessible so I believe I have successfully installed 2.04

    Is there a quick/easy way to check that the installation was successful?

    It worries me that I may have ‘missed’ replacing critical files efffectively such that the blog ‘works’ but I’m not getting the full benefit of your security fixes.

    – I’m a non technical user, it takes me about 1 hour to upgrade. (upgrade to 2.02 took 5hrs, upgrade to 2.03 took 2.5hrs, upgrade to 2.04 took 1hr, I’m improving but loosing confidence in whether I did it ‘right’)

  • From “outside” it seems you are running 2.0.4.

    Like moshu said, it appears you are running 2.0.4, and have done the upgrade correctly.. =)

    Viewing source code of the blog, I’m seeing this:
    <title>:: The Wendy House ::</title>
    <meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 2.0.4″ />

    And, if it says in your blog’s control panel footer:
    2.0.4 — 0.46 seconds

    That’s a very good sign that you have done it correctly hehe. =)
