  • Hello,
    {signup_firstname) is what you want to use. The dynamic variables are listed on the “README.txt” file that is included with the plugin. Below are a few other examples.

    {site_name}
    {site_url}
    {from_email}
    {removal_link}
    {signup_details}
    {signup_lastname}
    {signup_email}

    Thanks,

    Geez, sorry about that. Had trouble locating variables. Such an easy fix! Appreciate the reply!

    Just plugged in the merge tag and it is having the same issue. This is the text of the email one receives:

    Dear {signup_firstname):

    This message was sent to confirm that you signed up for…

    Date: Fri, Mar 11
    Event: Facebook and Personal Preferences
    Time: 2PM…

    The second variable {signup_details} is functioning properly, but not the first name.

    Looks like a typo…sorry about that. It should be {signup_firstname}

    Is there an error in the code you mean? That looks like the variable I have typed in:

    {signup_firstname}

    I am not seeing a difference.

    There was a typo in my response. I wrote {signup_firstname) but it should be {signup_firstname} and it looks like you copied what i wrote because the email you copied shows

    Dear {signup_firstname):

    This message was sent to confirm that you signed up for…

    Can you check to make sure you have entered the correct variable…it should end with } and not )

    Sigh, jeez. Can’t believe I didn’t notice. Sorry. Appreciate your patience and responses!

    Glad we could help!
