Confirmation email not received after subscribing

Hello
A user subscribed to receive updates via emails a month or two ago. She didn’t receive a confirmation email. she checked spam/junk email.
She told me today. She tried again and received no email confirmation.
I have checked with a test email account and a subscription confirmation was sent.
I’ve checked logs but can’t see anything in the logs I have access to.
Reading the forum and troubleshooting tips, I think only you can look at this? And you may need to reset the email address details if the person missed the first confirmation email.
