Confirmation email not sent after subscription

    Hi, I am testing your plugin with VerticalResponse Integration. It is allowing subscriptions on the form, on the page where it is embedded. After Subscription, it shows the following message ” Thanks for subscribing! Please check your email for further instructions.”.
    However, the email is never sent, so that the subscription can be confirmed. But, VerticalResponse is registering the email addresses of the subscribers.
    What am I doing wrong? Do I need to set something up on VerticalResponse?
    Help would be appreciated.

    The “Thanks for subscribing! Please check your email for further instructions.” is the default success message. You can change it to just “Thanks for subscribing!”.

    We made that the default message because many email marketing software we integrate with requires subscribers to confirm their subscription before they are added to your list.

    The default message is fine as it is “Thanks for subscribing! Please check your email for further instructions.”.
    It is the email not being sent that concerns me.
    Do I need to set something up on your plugin or on VerticalResponse, in order for the confirmation email to be sent?

    It looks like VR doesn’t require users to confirm their subscription before they are added unlike the others like Mailchimp.

    There is no email to be sent in this case.
