confirmation emails cannot be sent anymore

    Hello,

    I’ve looked this problem up and tried to follow advice from other threads but since few weeks I cannot get confirmation emails sent to subscribers. It worked perfectly before.
    What is strange is that I can successfully send newsletter to already confirmed subscribers, and test emails.

    So newsletters work but confirmation emails don’t …
    Has anyone else had this problem?

    using https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/newsletter/ version 3.8.1

    And if I put same mail content (used in confirmation message) into newsletter email, it works perfectly, subscriber can confirm and change is status. I assume not an anti spam issue.

    Hi, if you resend a confirmation email using the resend button in the subscriber list, does it work?

    Can you share your blog and the page where I can try a subscription?

    It is in French, but you should manage ??

    First I tought it was cron job issue, but as newsletter is fine, and issue is only on confirmation message and resend confirmation … I am puzzled

    Try to change the confirmation email text. Remove completely the original text and write somthing of different, without the “subscription” word.

    Thank for the suggestion.
    I just rewrote content from scratch, with progressive tests. I realized my confirmation email was blocked as soon as I put {subscription_confirm_url} into confirmation email. Like this or behind an html link.

    After several tests, used phrasing was fine.
    I assume it is anti spam issue. My website is hosted on OVH.

    Hi Raphael, did you succeed to send confirmation emails on OVH ? I have the same problem and I need the confirmation email ??

    Got the same problem, so I did many changes to make it work without success…

    So I removed my confirmation text e-mail. Now it works perfectly.

    Hi SpartakusMd,
    No progress. I can only send confirmation email manually by creating a newsletter with same content (than automatic confirmation email). But click rate is much lower than when it worked… Next week I will look for another plug in.

    So what do you leave into you confirmation e-mail? As you need at least few things in order subscriber can click to confirm.

    I’m going to contact OVH to ask for details why it isn’t working and how to solve the problem. If there will be some info, I’ll post it here.

    Well, well. It seems to be back to normal.
    I don’t know if some changes occured on OVH side or thanks to plug in editor (with last update or other backoffice change).

    @spartakusmd do you confirm same improvement on your side?

    It works for me too. I thing they have changed something. Meanwhile I chose to use another mail service ??
