• Hi all together,

I believe that STCR works like a charm. But I received an email from one of my comment subscribers that the confirmation link ends in my 404 page.

I’ve checked it and found the same. So I’ve added a test email address to check what happens. And the confirmation link also ends in my 404 page.

So I went through the “/admin.php?page=stcr_notifications” page to check the templates. BTW, I didn’t change anything since the installation and the initial setup. I’ve found the “confirm_link” which is noted as “[confirm_link]”. When I hover over the link in the double opt-in template, the link is presented as: “domain/wp-admin/[confirm_link]”.

So, what went wrong? And how can I correct it? I have no idea when this issue occured for the first time. But with this behavior, comment subscriptions are useless. The subscribers are listed correctly, but with the 404 page as target for the link I confuse them.

Thank you very much for your help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’d like to add something after reading to some support requests here.

Is this normal behavior that one has to create pages manually to keep the links going? Sorry, but this is not what I expected. The links worked before. Why not now? I’ve checked the other links in the several templates. All links show the same behavior: If you hover over them, you find the address “domain/wp-admin/[tag]”.

Sorry, if those links cannot work as expected I see no possibility to keep this plugin active in my WordPress installation.

    Hi @collapsing_os

    Can you try the following:

    • Go to WP Admin > StCR > Management Page
    • Set “Virtual management page” to “No” and save changes
    • Go to WP admin > Pages > Add New and create a page called “Comment subscriptions”, the permalink should be comment-subscriptions
    • As the content of that page just add [stcr_management_page]

Thank you, @wpkube, it works again. But it is strange that this behavior occured. ^^

    You’re welcome @collapsing_os

We’ll most likely be switching to a regular page (automatically created) instead of a “virtual page” since it can sometimes cause issues like this.
