    Hi,

Thanks for the hard work on your plugin. It is really cool.

BTW, I just found that, When i activate contact form 7 plugin, your plugin menu disappears.

Moreover, randomly i found that the map shortcode info is displayed in all post type pages, posts and others

Is there any solution for contact form 7 conflict? I think the issue may be hooking with admin menu.

    Thank you,

  • Thank you vijayrajesh – I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t showing. You saved the day!

Thanks for reporting these issues. I will investigate ASAP!

Any chance this will be fixed? I just installed your plugin, and couldn’t find any way to actually create a map. Checking the Support forum for your plugin, I saw this thread. When I de-activate Contact Form 7, the Google Maps menu is suddenly added to the dashboard menu.

I’m keeping Contact Form 7, which means unfortunately I can’t use your plugin, which I’d like to! ??

yeah, i also couldn’t find Maps menu… And i also need those both plugins… sad ??

Sorry guys… yeah this is an annoying conflict that I just haven’t had the time to release an patch for yet. It’s coming… I promise.

    Thanks for this plugin.

@vijayrajesh anyway you can use temporarily disabling Contact Form 7

Inside the plugin folder you have to edit public\class-wordpress-google-maps.php .

    Completely remove the 170th line:

    ‘menu_position’ => ! empty( $menu_position ) ? intval($menu_position) : 25,

Easier fix: go to Installed Plugins > Google Maps Builder > Settings and under the General Options tab change Menu Position to another accepted value (check the provided link you’ll find to the right).
I put 100 and it appeared neatly among the other plugins, just reload the admin page.

    Thanks for the cool plugin!

    Great fix @massello, thank you!

A really crude workaround i did because in MU I can’t find any plugin settings. Modify the url to fit your necessities and boorkamrk it for future edits.

Oh thank god. I have spent the last hour and a half troubleshooting and searching how to make a map once I installed this plugin. It wasn’t until I read this thread that I found out that the menu wont even show up when Contact form 7 is running. Thanks for the fix suggestions. All is well, and now I can go to sleep
