I installed your Fast Velocity plugin a few weeks back but never looked at any of my NexGen Gallery posts. When I did today, I noticed that my thumbnail pages no longer formatted, nor do the photo galleries work.

I turned off plugins and Fast Velocity is the cause. So I tried to add this to the Ignore List:
    https://neohgolf.com//wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/*

    …but that didn’t work.

Neither did putting a check on Disable JavaScript processing and Disable minification on JS files.

So I have your plugin disabled now, even though it helped greatly with gtmetrix and pagespeed.

Do you have a set of settings you can recommend for NexGen Gallery so that it works with Fast Velocity?

    Thank you!

Hi, sorry for the later reply, I missed the topic.

Usually, formating comes from the CSS part, did you also try disabling the CSS processing to see if it works?

Thanks Raul. You are correct; hitting the check box for ‘Disable CSS processing’ did the trick…

But is there a way to disable CSS for Next-Gen Galleries alone while still optimizing the site for the other CSS files (since the entire point of using the plugin is to assist with render blocking for pagespeed)?

Looks like choosing ‘Inline all enqueued CSS’ instead of disabling all also works…

Yes, Inlining all css should work and give you a better score, IF your css is not too big.

There’s an option to “keep the order” of css files, you could try that one first.
Another thing that can possibly happens is that some “ie only” (internet explorer) could have been merged together, especially if it was not enqueued with conditional tags.

I suggest you look at the log on the status page and look for css files that look like they could be for ie only and add them to the ignore list.
Merging CSS usually works fine, unless something is merged together that shouldn’t be there (like those IE only css files)
