  • I also get this weird issue

    using Gutenberg

    editing the meta Description

    the cursor gets reset to the last block I was editing in the page every time I pause… it’ll drive ya crazy.

    for me, this has happened with the classic editor

    I’ve got problems too. After I did update this morning, my site completely crashed. Whats wrong?

    Yes, I see script errors in wp-seo-post=scraper and it breaks the visual/text tabs on the classic editor and Yoast input won’t display in WordPress Post Edit. Fixes if deactivate yoast.

    Doesn’t happen on all sites, so not sure if there is a conflict with another plugin or not. I’m looking through some other sites and will update if I find anything.

    Yep, I’m having this very same problem.

    Yoast 10.0.1 enabled I’m getting this error once I enter page edit

    wp-seo-post-scraper-1001.min.js?ver=10.0.1:5 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getEditedPostAttribute' of null
        at t.default (wp-seo-post-scraper-1001.min.js?ver=10.0.1:5)

    Updating to Yoast 12.5 seems to help with this. So it’s version 10 which causes this.

    Hi grog, I’m having this problem with v 12.5!!

    @pcnador
    We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v12.6? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2.Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    If all are updated and the issue still happens we are not able to reproduce this. We have Classic Editor v1.5 active and were able to add a media item such as a picture on a post. See images: https://pasteboard.co/IIuFp7b.png and https://pasteboard.co/IIuFErq.jpg.

    In that case, it sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Please Check for conflicts.

    If there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue?for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

    If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium?and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    If you are still experiencing the issue per the forum guidelines, we ask that you please create separate topics for the issues you are experiencing. That way it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance on your specific concerns on your specific site. Plus, you will get your own alerts for the issue rather than someone else’s. You may make a new topic here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/#new-post. Thanks!

    Thanks for understanding!

    I’ve fixed my issue. because I’ve excluded dist folder from my git deployment. The Yoast SEO has dist folder which contains js and needed for Yoast SEO premium 12.6.1.

    The yoast SEO plugin has been around for a long time. The downside of the plugin is that it frequently causes buggy pages after a wordpress update. Can anyone recommend a similar plugin that has the same or similar search engine optimization functionality?
