There is a conflict with the NextCellent Gallery plugin, where its admin menu entry (the menu on the left in the backend) disappears when this plugin is activated.

I’m thinking the problem is with NextCellent, and I’m reporting it there as well, but was wondering if anyone here might have any ideas as to what could cause the conflict.

    Thanks for any help.

  • I’m having a similar problem. When the user is a contributor or author, the BNFW menu appear, only broken.

The submenu is being adding with a cap of “manage_options”, but for some reason there is something that’s preveting it.

Maybe is related to your problem.

    Hi,
jamminjames: This does sound like an issue with NextCellent Gallery. Let me know if they come back to you about anything.

Renato Alves: I think this is because of the way I’m inserting menu items that don’t go to WordPress screens and instead go off to various pages on the BNFW website. I’ll investigate and see if there’s a better way I can do this.

    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi,

This should be fixed in the next version, due out soon.
I’m closing this thread but if it’s still a problem afterwards, please feel free to re-open.
