Contact Form 7 v4.8.1Hey guys, im copying this here just to inform you of the issue, i have reported this to Fast Velocity Minify as its their plugin causing the conflict.
Defect Type: Javascript Conflict.
Description: after installing Fast Velocity Minify on to a website that has a tested and working Contact Form 7, the contact form will timeout when attempting to send the email form.
Expected results:
The contact form’s “working icon” spins briefly, the email is sent to the pre-configured address and the form returns a success message.Actual Results:
The contact form’s “working icon” just spins and no email is sent, the form doesn’t return any other message as the “working icon” never stops spinning.Reproduction Steps:
1. Have a pre-configured WordPress install with pre-configured Contact Form 7 plugin.
2. Have a page on your website that contains the contact form. e.g /contact-us
3. Use the form to send email, Observe that the “working icon” spins briefly, the email is sent to the pre-configured address and the form returns a success message.
4. Install Fast Velocity Minify test with the following settings.
4a. Use the stock settings.
4b. Add ignore rule for Contact Form 7 “scripts.js” file.
4c. Turn off Java Processing.
4d. Turn off CSS Processing
4e. Turn off every options (un-check all options)
5. Use the form to send email, Observe that the “working icon” just spins and no email is sent, the form doesn’t return any other message as the “working icon” never stops spinning.
