    Hi,

Lately we’re experiencing some issues with permissions for the plugin Popup builder

Despite giving all rights for it to an editor, it doesn’t display for the editor user.
Could you check if there’s something interfering? Thanks!

I took a quick look at the source code of Popup Builder and it appears that most of its admin menus require the sgpb_manage_options capability. The “Settings” submenu also requires the manage_options capability. Have you tried giving the sgpb_manage_options capability to the role? The free version of Admin Menu Editor doesn’t have that feature, but you could do it with a role editing plugin like User Role Editor.

    Hi @whiteshadow,

Thanks for checking this out for us.
We’re using the Admin Menu Editor Pro version.
I’ll take a look to give the right permissions and report back if we could resolve it.

    Hi @whiteshadow,

I tried to give this specified user the correct roles, but unfortunately it still isn’t visible for this user. I also tried to add the manage options cap but also this didn’t work.

    Hi @whiteshadow,

In the meantime we have resolved this issue.
Apparently Popub builder provides an access level by itself, which is role based and not cap based.
