Conflict with ACF

  • Hello,

    On one of our sites, some of the ACF behavior changed, and after checking with their support and testing in our site, we’ve come to the conclusion that there is a conflict between Duplicate Page and ACF.

    I’ll gladly elaborate more, if this is the right place to do so.

    On one of our sites we configured a field to have location rule of post-format equals to link.
    Up until a couple of weeks ago it worked so that when the editor clicked the radio button indicating a link, the field would automatically appear. But then it changed, and now the editor has to save the post after changing its format to a link, and only then does the field appear.

    Thank you for your reply. The reason there isn’t any post or page duplication is because the problem isn’t with the duplication of a post or page. The problem is that when the Post Duplication plugin is active, we get a bug in the use of ACF.
    But I have to do some further checks, since this happens only in some of our sites, and in others the two plugins work correctly even when both are activated.
    I’ll update when I have a more concrete understanding

    It took me a long time, but I finally discovered what part of the Duplicate Page plugin interferes with the appearance of the Custom Fields: When the “All Editors” option is chosen in the “Choose Editor” definition, that affects the ACF. I changed it to “Classic Editor” and that solved the problem.

    I have no idea why it is thus, but that is my finding.
