Conflict with ACF and PHP8

  • Hello, after updating our server to PHP8 we find we were unable to edit https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/ WYSIWYG editors. We ruled out a theme issue and disabled plugins until we found it was Ebook store causing the problem.

    Is this something you could help with?

    We are running:
    PHP version: 8.0.22
    WordPress Version 6.1.1
    Advanced Custom Fields PRO Version 6.0.6
    eBook store Version 5.773
    WooCommerce Version 7.3.0

    Is there still support for this plugin? This is the error I’m getting:

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 2338 of the file /wp-content/plugins/ebook-store/functions.php. Error message: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot access offset of type string on string in /wp-content/plugins/ebook-store/functions.php:2338

    I have the same issue and not sure how to proceed. At least i know now what the issue is.
    Have you maybe found a solution or did you change the plugin?

    I ended up removing it and now use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/waterwoo-pdf

    Thanks for the info. Will most likely do the same. Did you also see the “advanced” Plugin, PDF Stamper? Was wondering if this might be better in terms of performance.
