The plugin in “All-in-One WP Migration” by Servmask which I’ve used for years without fault now fails to backup when this GA Google Anylytics plugin is activated. Spent 2 days with the developers trying to nail it down and this is the problem. Any ideas as to why its causing this issue? Thanks

Glad to help but need to understand the issue first. In order to do that, the issue needs to be repeatable. Can you let me know how to repeat the issue, using basic steps for example something like:

    1. Activate GA plugin
    2. Activate other plugin
    3. Perform some action
    4. Do some thing
    5. Etc., until the issue appears

That will enable me to understand and try to resolve any issue asap.

    Thanks Jeff.

    Activate GA plugin

Run backup/export on AIOWP Backup plugin and it fails

Deactivate GA plug-in and all is fine.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks, is this the correct AIOWP plugin?

Yes that’s the one. We also use a bolt on called “All in One WP Migration Unlimited” which allows users to backup larger sites. Not sure if that makes any difference.

    Thanks

    Thanks.

I will test without All in One WP Migration Unlimited and let you know the results.

So here is what I did, starting from default WP install:

    1. Installed/activated GA plugin
    2. Entered a tracking number, saved changes
    3. Installed/activated AIOWP plugin
    4. Visited the AIOWP settings, clicked Export to File
    5. The file completed and I downloaded successfully, no errors

Is there maybe some extra step that should be included? For example, perhaps there is some additional plugin setting that needs to be changed? Let me know how I can help, thank you.

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for checking. I dont know what to do then if it works fine for you.
I have used AIOWPBackup for years faultlessly and its just this last couple of weeks been refusing to backup if GA plugin is activated. I’ve reinstalled AIOWPBackup. Maybe I should delete and reinstall GA Plugin.

    Hi John,

Removing/reinstalling may help, but from the test described above it is not GA plugin at issue. OR there is some third factor/plugin involved. If so, further testing would be needed to identify.

Also just fyi, there is a GA plugin setting that determines whether or not analytics is loaded on admin pages. The setting was not enabled during the above test, so that may be something to look at.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any further information.
