Conflict with Ajax Search Plugin?

A client is using Search Exclude in conjunction with Ajax Search Lite. However, pages that are supposed to be excluded are still showing up in search results. Is there a potential conflict between these two plugins? Or a setting we could change so that they could still be used together? Thank you!
