    Hi there,

I’m experiencing backup issues with BackWPUp and I’ve narrowed it down to only occurring when Pinpoint Booking System is activated.

    The error is…
“Job “Daily Backup (DB and Current Years Media)” has started, but not responded for 10 seconds. Please check information.
    See… https://snag.gy/VNhCU0.jpg

The debug info can be provided upon request, but didn’t want to post it now encase any of the information is sensitive.
It’s kicking out the same error as described here… https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/not-expected-http-responsestatus-code-200/
I’ve followed the advice, but had the same issues as the original poster.
Unfortunately, it was resolved in private.

I’ll also alert BackWPUp to this issue and hopefully between us, we can resolve the issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I’ve sent an email to [email protected] and got a reply back to confirm my request had been received and is being reviewed by our support staff.
I haven’t heard anything more and it’s been a week now.

I’m keen to resolve this quickly, as it’s effecting important backups.

I’ve tested your plugin with BackWPUp in another environment and it worked fine, so there’s no conflict in a normal environment.

The thing I’m most inclined to try, is the “Repair database & text” tool within your plugin, as I’m convinced there is a corrupt database table relating to your plugin, which is causing the backups to fail.

I’m really concerned about using this tool, as the client has likely spent a lot of time setting up their availability and I get the feeling that I’m going to loose all that data if I use this tool. Can you confirm if this is correct or not?

I’ve recently had to use this tool on an almost fresh install of the plugin on a new site and it did reset options that I’d configured.

Also is there anyway of exporting availability data, so that it could be re-imported if anything did reset?

I realise that loosing availability data wouldn’t be as bad as loosing all the website data due to no backups, but if the tool to fix problems looses the data entered, it’s a bit of an issue with the plugin with no import/export feature.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I’ve replied to the email from support.

I’ve also tried using the repair tools and they don’t appear to have caused any issues.
They unfortunately didn’t resolve my issue.

    Hello,

This issue has been solved changing the class-session.php file.

    Thank you!

For the benefit of anyone else experiencing a similar issue…

This was caused by the /wp-content/plugins/booking-system/framework/includes/class-session.php file. Comment out line 185 and 190 and everything should work fine.

There may be other updates released before this is fully resolved, so keep an eye out and re-implement the tweak if needed.

I’ve just marked this as not resolved again, because in my opinion it hasn’t been.

Until you change the way you handle sessions, every time you release an update, it stops the BackWPUp plugin working, until I manually adjust your code.

This is a very inconvenient glitch that is becoming very frustrating, considering I’ll need to fix it every month.
