Just upgraded one of my sites that uses bbPress to the latest version of bbPress which I believe is 2.4, and it seems like the WordPress Simple Firewall plugin is preventing access in the backend to the bbPress settings. Have you tested your plugin with bbPress yet? I’m still looking to see if anything else is causing a problem, but deactivating the WordPress Simple Firewall allows me access to the bbPress settings. I don’t recall if it was working correctly before bbPress 2.4 or not.

    Hey,

I’ve done no testing with bbPRess… is it possible you could give me a site that has this setup and I’ll dig in and see what’s going on? It might just need some default whitelisting parameters.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

It’s on a live site, that I do not have permission to share with anyone else. But you should experience it yourself if you try installing bbPress on any site. I’ll try to do some more testing/debugging to see what I can come up with. It did throw a WordPress permission error, when trying to access the settings manually (had to try it that way, because none of the buttons where appearing).

Getting a chance to get that installed on a test site at the moment is not time I have just right at the moment – perhaps later in the week I’d hope to have it.

If you come up with anything in the meantime, please let me know!
    Thanks,
    Paul.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I really don’t have much time at the moment myself. I’m going through this search below, to see if I can find anything, before digging through any code. It may be something simple.

Might have fixed this now with the latest release… if you get a chance to check it out would be great.
    Cheers!
    Paul.
