Hello, I’m working on a client’s website and have discovered what seems to be a conflict between MailPoet and Ditty.

I ran into the problem on a live site and duplicated it on a secondary dev/staging site with a fresh install of wordpress and only those two plugins active.

When attempting to change the global form styles in the Mailpoet form editor (Forms>Add New>Blank Template>Styles), I receive a blank white page. Examining the console gives the following error:

TypeError: this.activateMode is not a function

I’m not sure if this is a problem with Ditty or Mailpoet, but I thought I should notify you that this is occurring. I have also posted this to the Ditty support page, but wanted to give you a heads up.

  • Hi @melvinsoftware , I too have a client’s account and Mailpoet is suddenly in conflict with one of the main theme’s plugin.

MailPoet 3 was working fine on previous version but since yesterday it fails.

    Hi there @melvinsoftware,

Thank you for reporting this. From your description, it does appear to be a conflict with the Ditty plugin you mentioned. Just to confirm, on that fresh install, does MailPoet work on its own when that Ditty plugin is disabled?

Unfortunately, due to the vast number of plugins/themes in the WordPress ecosystem, we are unable to guarantee compatibility with all other plugins/themes or provide fixes for conflicts, as mentioned in our support policy below:
    https://www.mailpoet.com/support-policy/

You could add a request for compatibility with that other plugin to our feedback board below, and it may be considered for implementation if there’s community support for it:

Hello @dominic355 — per forum guidelines, we would generally ask you to start a new thread for your topic (unless it were also specifically regarding a conflict with the Ditty plugin). In this case though, my reply above would still be applicable as well.

    Hi there @melvinsoftware,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
