When combining the latest version of Custom Facebook Feed and Divi, the Divi Theme Customizer stops working. It only displays “Widgets”. When disabling Custom Facebook Feed, the Divi Theme Customizer starts working again.

    Hi Victor,

Sorry to hear about the issue. We have a lot of users using the Divi theme and haven’t had this issue reported before so I’ll need to dig into this further to determine what the problem is. When the issue occurs, is it possible to check your browser developer console to see whether any JavaScript errors are occurring?

Also, so that I can try to replicate this issue would it be possible to email me at john at smash balloon dot com and include a zip file of the theme so that I can try to replicate the issue on my own test site?

    Many thanks,

    John

Hi! I installed a new clean sandbox with only the Divi theme and Custom Facebook Feed and it works fine.

So it must be a clash between CFF and some other plugin together with Divi on my other site. I will try to deactivate one plugin at a time and find the clash. I’ll be back.

Sounds good Victor, let me know what you find out.

Hi! Did you ever find out which plugins were conflicting? I have the same issue on three of my sites.

    Hey SpiralOwner,

I’m not sure what plugins might have been affecting the site for Victor’s install but you could certainly run the same experiment on your site. Just deactivate all plugins on your site except for the Custom Facebook Feed plugin. Then test the feed.

If everything is working ok, then activate just one of the plugins you have deactivated. The test the feed again and if it still works then activate another plugin, etc. etc. until you get to a point where the last plugin you activated seems to break the feed. That will be your problem plugin. If you find the plugin we would be interested in knowing which one it was so we can experiment with it on this end as well and help resolve future issues for other Divi users.

    Hi!

I tried to de-activate one plugin at a time and I found the problem: WP User Frontend Pro – business. If WP User Frontend Pro – business and Custom Facebook Feed is activated at the same time, the Divi Theme Customizer is corrupt (only displays Widgets). If I deactivate Custom Facebook Feed OR WP User Frontend Pro – business, the Divi Theme Customizer works fine again.

David: I will send you an admin login to the test site so you can do some research. You are free to activate and deactivate the Custom Facebook Feed plugin, but please be careful with the rest, since this is the only copy of the dev site (the prod version is yet to be launched).

I’ve deactivated every plugin on my site except Custom Facebook Feed and it still isn’t working.

    Hey SprialOwner,

Can you please submit a support request here and provide your plugin’s System Info which provides us with the best information about the current plugin settings that are being used and can help us look elsewhere for your issue.

To get your plugin’s System Info go to:

WordPress DashBoard – Facebook Feed – Settings – Support (tabbed page).
Select all text in the “System Info” by clicking in the box, copy and then paste the ‘System Info’ into your reply.

When you submit your request on our support page then also provide the shortcode you are currently using and the link to the specific site page where you have the plugin’s feed installed.

Do not send your information through this forum for purposes of data privacy.

    Thank you.

Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that I simply went in and regenerated the token for the three websites and that fixed two of them. I’ll continue with the above process for the third site which isn’t working. When regenerating the token for the site, this site was unavailable to choose from the list of pages given. I suspect this is why this one doesn’t work?

    Thread Starter dusemedia

    (@dusemedia)

Which token did you regenerate, SprialOwner?

    Hey Victor,

I believe he would be talking about his access token. You can try this but I honestly think the underlying source and your problem is going to be different than his because when he tested the other plugins he was still having the same problem which pointed me towards something else and why I requested him to send the plugin’s System Info.

Yours on the other hand is more specific in that the plugin works but stops working with the WP User Frontend Pro plugin activated and there seems to be a specific conflict between the two in the DIVI theme. SpiralOwner’s did not work at all regardless if his other plugins were activated or not.

We are looking into your issue here on this end with the mindset that the source of the issue being the conflict with WP User Frontend Pro.

    Hey SprialOwner,

You can select an alternate token from another page if you wish and it should still work.
