Conflict With Easy Digital Download Reviews

    I use the plugin Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) to sell a couple of spreadsheets, and use EDD Reviews, a third-party plugin extension, for user reviews. All has worked well for a few years, but now the reviews do not displaying correctly. For each review, the star rating and review title have disappeared. Deactivating Ad Inserter fixes the problem. But I love Ad Inserter for ad management and would like to keep it. Any suggestions?

    Since the issue is with EDD I would suggest to firs ask their support. Only they know how their plugin works. Once they diagnose the issue and it is with Ad Inserter (not with your codes you are inserting) I can suggest further actions.

    However, disabling Ad Inserter is not a useful test. The plugin itself does nothng. It inserts various codes according to the settings. And they may have some impact on the website. You can use debugging tools to isolate the issue:

    Thank you. EDD support said they were unable to help since another plugin was involved. I discovered that the ad placement “Between Comments” is causing the issue. I tried excluding the EDD page and a variety of other settings in Ad Inserter. However, it seems that running ads within (before/between/after) Comments does not play well with EDD Reviews. Any suggestions? (I am not a programmer.)

    That is pretty unusual answer form the support. If they are unable (or unwilling) to diagnose the issue with their plugin, then who else should do it?

    I’m sorry, but I can mainly help you regarding Ad Inserter.
