Conflict with existing jquery popup

    Hi, after creating a Button & Popup I have discovered a conflict with an existing custom jQuery popup (non plugin related) which prompts users to log in when clicking a button sitting within the readmore shortcode. Having upped the z-index of the custom popup to max value (2147483638) – the existing custom popup sits behind the readmore popup. Can this be over ridden in WordPress settings?
