@vtxyzzy – If you would like to submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) regarding this issue we would be willing to help you sort it out.

Have you also advised the “Fast Secure Contact Form” plugin author of this conflict? They may already be working on a solution.

    Thanks!

I have advised Fast Secure Contact Form of the problem.

This is more complex than first appeared. A clean install of WP 3.6.1, FSCF 4.0.12, and NextGEN 2.0.31 does not show the problem.

The problem now appears to be a combination of ‘Fast Secure Contact Form’, ‘NextGEN’ and ‘Shortcode Reference’.

A clean install of WP 3.6.1 with only those 3 plugins active shows the problem. Deactivating any one of the 3 eliminates the problem.

@vtxyzzy – So it would appear this has to do with how shortcodes are being parsed. Are you using specific NextGEN Gallery shortcodes or are you using the ATP to insert galleries/albums into your posts/pages?

There were no actual shortcodes in use by any of the plugins. Here are the steps I followed to reproduce the problem:

    1. Create a site with a clean install of WP 3.6.1
    2. Install and activate the three plugins
    3. Attempt to edit the ‘Hello World’ Post.

No content was modified after the install.

It has come to my attention that this problem was reported to Shortcode Reference’s author some time ago, and is not the fault of NextGEN or Fast Secure Contact Form.

    Marking this Resolved.

This solved it for me: (from another post)
If the memory limit is 32M or less, try increasing it.

Our server was set to 32M limit and I increased it to 64M which solved the problems. All Plugins are live again and still working.
