• Hello Wordfence.
I’ve hit a snag that I’ve not encountered before. I am using the Formidable Forms Pro plugin and “suddenly” find that the ADMIN stylesheet for the forms plugin is not loading. All other 3rd party plugins admin areas are fine. When I deactivate Wordfence the admin styles for Formidable return. I have tried just deactivating the Wordfence firewall and find the admin styles do not load – only works again when I fully deactivate Wordfence.

The message from Formidable support is as follows. I wonder if there is any light you can shed on this issue? Much appreciated.

    Hi there,

It certainly is a possibility that Wordfence is running into a conflict with Formidable Forms Pro, but we wouldn’t know where. From my personal experience with Wordfence, it will scan the www.ads-software.com repository of plugins, and then cross reference the code that is running for plugins on your site.

In that instance, it is possible that it is seeing the version in the www.ads-software.com repository (the free version of Formidable Forms) is different than what is on your site (the pro version of Formidable Forms.) That is merely a guess, but I would recommend reaching out to the plugin author of Wordfence and seeing if they may be able to shed any light on the issue.

Just had a second email from Formidable. They ask if I am using the caching function of WF – I am not.

*** FROM FORMIDABLE FORMS SUPPORT ***

    Hi there,

The following CSS files are loading in on the backend for Formidable:

    css/frm_admin.css
    css/frm_grids.css
    css/frm_fonts.css
I should mention too that if by chance you are using the caching function of Wordfence, it might be worth turning that off and seeing that is actually causing the issue. Again, just another idea as to what might be causing it.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Hi ashbydesign,
You could try disabling “Falcon Cache” from (Wordfence > Performance Setup) in case you are using it.

Did you check the browser console for any errors while you are on the page that is missing the style files?

BTW, if you clicked on “Network” tab rather than “Console” then refreshed the page, you will see all CSS/JS files loaded on that page, by this way you can check if the style files are correctly loaded or not.

Finally, do you use any other caching or CSS/JS minifying plugin?

    Keep me updated,
    Thanks.
