• Hi, I love this plugin, but I get this message that there is an error when trying to edit FSE templates. Below is the output from the error message:

    Thanks for the report.

Does the custom HTML block crash when that error log is logged? Or can you continue to use it normally?

It crashes when I attempt to edit a template. It works fine when editing pages.

Thank you for teaching me. If I can reproduce it in my environment, I would like to try to fix it in the next update.

If you know, please provide the following information:

    • What theme is the problem occurring in?
    • In which template does it occur?

I experienced the issue while trying to edit the footer template. I have tested the issue in two themes: Frost and Bright Mode.

    Hi,

I tried testing with the Frost theme, but I can’t reproduce the problem. The custom HTML block I inserted in the footer template works fine.

If this problem is still occurring, I would like to know more about the situation.

    • Does this problem also occur with the default theme?
    • Does this problem also occur with regular page templates, rather than template parts such as footer?

Thank you for the reply. I have installed the default theme and the problem persists. This problem also occurs with other templates. After a bit of fiddling with any kind of template the FSE editor stops working and the error appears which has been posted in the first message.

    Thanks for the reply.

As expected, I just can’t reproduce it. Could you please send me a screencast so I can see exactly what you are doing or what is happening?
This forum does not allow you to directly embed videos, but you should be able to upload videos to issues on GitHub.

I just uploaded the screencast to github. Please let me know, if you need further information. To be sure I deactivated most of the other plugins as well.
