Conflict with Genesis Child Theme
-
Curious if anyone has run into this issue. I’ve done many Genesis based sites, all using Contact Form 7 and this is the first time I’m seeing this.
Website is: https://sbcbldgsystems.com/careers/
(happens on this form, plus contact form and another test form I built, but please test only this one as it comes to my email and not client)I’m using Contact form 7 and when you fill out the form and hit submit, the little icon next to the button just spins and spins and spins. It looks like it is NOT sending, however it does. I receive the results in my email and I also get the auto reply. But, to the user, it doesn’t look like it was sent.
I asked a question of the theme developers (Web-Savvy-Marketing – this is a Genesis child theme by them) and said it was a problem with the plugin and to start here.
I made a staging site and turned off all plugins other than Contact Form 7 and had the same results (no good)
I then turned the theme off and used 2012 and IT WORKED… so I’m guessing it’s a conflict with the theme or a conflict with one of the .js files or jQuery files bundled with the theme. I also tried to (one at a time) remove each of the .js files and test again, and that still did not solve the problem.
I’m certain the general contact form worked when I launched the site back in August.
I did update plugins on this site last night, and I reverted to the old Contact Form 7 today, no luck.I know this is a long post, but does anyone have any advice or a starting point for me to try to trouble shoot this?
Thanks for any advice!
