• Hi, I just received a call from Devin Walker and he suggested I reach out to you. The Give plugin and our Goodlayers theme are not playing well together in terms of the youtube link displaying video as it should. Nothing but white displays after the Give plugin is enabled. We are on a tight timeline, limited budget, for this short lived project, so unless this is a know and easy fix, we won’t be able to use the Give plugin and would need a refund. Please advise. Thank you!

Can you provide a link to your site so I can see the problem live? Most likely it’s an issue with the theme not necessarily Give, and you just need some simple Custom CSS.

    Thanks!

Here is the link to our site: https://catching.steam-hosting.net

It’s currently on our dev server.

If you need me to re-activate the plugin so you can see what it does, let me know. Thanks!

    Hi there,

Yes, re-activating the plugin so I can see the problem live is necessary. Let me know, thanks!

OK you can see it now. thanks!

I can see that the content to the left of the video is now all white, but I can’t identify anything from our Give styles which would cause that at all since that whole section doesn’t share class names with anything we have in Give.

Can you disable all other plugins except Give and see if that resolves it? If it does. Re-activate each plugin one by one until you see the problem again, then let me know which plugin caused the issue. That will help narrow down the issue and find a fix.

    Thanks!

OK all plugins are now disabled except for Give. And the problem still exists. Very odd. We have gone ahead and created a donation form using Gravity forms. It’s not anywhere near as nice as the Give method, but we will also have an Indiegogo site for donations so this is in addition to that. I don’t think I can spend any more time on this issue since we are planning on going live on Friday. I suppose it will be best to get a refund and look for sites that already have Give integrated into the core for future non-profits. As I mentioned, I have already used it on a previous site and it came with the theme. It worked great.

I’d like to know what this issue is, but I don’t believe it stems from Give. Please submit a Priority support ticket and reference this ticket and mention me. Regardless of what you need to do with this site, I’d like to know the source of this issue and your info on our Priority Support form would help a lot.

    Thanks!

Hi Matt, OK I will do that. We went live with the site but can keep a copy with Give activated at catching.steam-hosting.net so you can see the issue. This also has the stripe plugin activated. I do not see a reference number. Do I just use the title of the post? Or can you provide a better reference?

Just reference this ticket with the URL in your browser.

    Thanks!
