Several client sites have been seeing an error message today after updating to version 4.6.3.

Deactivating WP Activity Log makes the error go away. Here’s what we’re seeing:

Warning: Undefined array key “gravityforms” in /…/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/classes/WPSensors/Helpers/class-gravityforms-helper.php on line 57

    Hello Eric,

I am sorry to read about the issue. By the way, this is a warning and not an error, so it does not have any impact to the operations of the website and the plugin. It is safe to keep the plugin running.

In the meantime can you please answer the below questions so we can troubleshoot this?

    1. What version of WordPress, PHP and Gravity Forms are the users running?
    2. When is this warning showing up? Exactly when activating the plugin or when doing something on a form / the Gravity Forms plugin?
    3. Did this happen once, or it keeps on happening?
    4. This warning only shows up when WordPress debug is enabled, correct?

The more information you can share with us the quicker we can understand the context of the problem and issue a patch.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your reply. While I understand this is just a warning and not an error, that does not mean that clients understand the difference. They panic when it appears on their site and contact me, assuming the site is broken or insecure.

I identified the issue as being related to your plugin, deactivated it, and made the post here.

    Answers to your questions:

    1. WP= 6.4.3 GF= 2.8.3 PHP= 8.0.30
    2. It appears at the top of every front end page, whether logged in or not.
    3. Two client sites reported it a few hours after I updated to version 4.6.3 of your plugin.
    4. Incorrect. I have confirmed that debug is off for both of the sites that showed this error.

Please let me know if I can provide any further info to assist your investigation.

I two am having exact same issue,

Warning: Undefined array key “gravityforms” in /…/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/classes/WPSensors/Helpers/class-gravityforms-helper.php on line 57

    Answers to your questions:

    1. WP= 6.4.3 GF= 2.8.3 PHP= 8.1
    2. Hitting my error logs at least once two minutes
    3. noticed in error report after client notified of an instance of critical error on site displayed to a visitor.
    4. Incorrect. I have confirmed that debug is off for both of the sites that showed this error.

    Hello Eric and ebundantonline,

We have prepared a patch and before releasing it in the next update we’d like someone to test it, since we could not reproduce the problem.

Can you please download and install patch 20240213-wp-activity-log.zip and advise if this does the trick?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

@robertabela Thanks for the prompt attention to this. I updated the WP Activity Log plugin on one of my affected sites., After a cache clear, the warning is gone.

This would presumably work on my other sites as well. I will await the official release of the updated plugin before doing so, unless you need me to perform any additional testing.

We have just released update 4.6.4 which also includes this bug fix. So please feel free to upgrade the other websites.

By the way, if you find this plugin useful and you are happy with our support, please do not forget to spare a minute to rate this plugin. These ratings are really helpful.

Thank you very much and have a great day.
