Conflict with Hayden Theme- Meteor slides custom post type

Hi Josh, Love your plugin and used it many times!
I need some help to figure out how to solve an apparent conflict with the theme Hayden by ThemeTrust. Apparently it uses the same custom posttype as the Meteor slides for the homepage slider. I want to create a small slideshow for the sidebar only using Meteor slides.
When I activated the meteor slides plugin, they slides I created were loaded in the homepage slider. Both used the same posttype called “Slides”.
I love both the theme and the Meteor slides plugin, so wondering if there is a way to make them play together.
