Conflict with InfiniteWP?

  • I think I saw a thread on this forum with a similar error message but my issue is slightly different.
    I use Infinite WP to manage all our WordPress websites. It checks each WP site to see if any themes or plugins need updating, whether there is an upgrade for WP as well as performing other functions like backup, Google Analytics, cloning etc. Infinite WP as far as I can tell logs in remotely to all the sites but perhaps not in the standard way. I think Manage WP is the same. I have no issues across all my sites except for one where I have Event Organiser Pro installed. The error message I get in Infinite WP when it tries to connect is:
    PHP Fatal error occured: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /home/user/public_html/staging/wp-content/plugins/event-organiser-pro/includes/addon.php on line 355.

    I have EO (without Pro) on another WordPress site and it connects fine. Is this an issue with pro?

    Kind of – Pro caches the response from the host website, but on certain admin pages it will clear this cache (e.g. WordPress’ update page). It wasn’t expected that plug-in data would be checked outside the WordPress admin – hence the error. I’ll add a workaround in the next update.

    By the way, as a Pro customer you can use the site forums) :).

    I had forgotten about the pro forums, thanks for reminding me. I am so used to using the WP ones but I’ll be heading on down to the EO forums next time!
