    Hi,
    we’re using 2FA from iThemes Security Pro on a clients multilingual (WPML) site. When the authentication mail is sent, the user receives it 50+ times for one login try and login is not possible. iThemes Security Pro and WPML have no solution so far and suggested creating a topic here as well. However, even if we deactivate the WP Mail SMTP plugin, the issue still occurs.

    Hi @flamemunich,

    That certainly is a very weird issue. It sounds like something is getting hung up and repeating the email process over and over again.

    You mentioned that if you deactivate WP Mail SMTP, the issue still occurs. That actually eliminates our plugin as contributing to the issue, but that was a good move. It means that, even though the problem is still occurring, you know our plugin isn’t causing it.

    You may want to try the same troubleshooting against other plugins on the site. Basically, you would deactivate the other plugins on the site and test to see if the problem is still there. If it goes away, turn the others back on one at a time until the problem comes back. That should help you pinpoint the cause.
