Conflict with jQuery slide down window

My client asked me to make some text to slide up and down and I used https://djpate.com/portfolio/easy-Slide-jQuery-demo/
where jQuery.js is used. Since then the sliding effect on the theme’s images on top stopped working. Any ideas how to resolve the conflict?
