    Hi Alvaro,
I tested this for block editor and found it working. However, inside media iserter tab it faills to restrict other user’s media.

How to replicate this issue ?
    1. Add new post in block editor.
    2. Open block inserter pannel.
    3. Click on media tab next to patterns.
    4. Click on images tab -> you will see all latest media.

Let me know if this can be resolved ?
Appreciate your effort for this useful plugin.

    Thanks a lot !

Just to make sure I am following you, you are referring to this, right?

I am going to have to look into this but I will need to investigate first.

Thank you for reporting it, @thakurtech.

    Gotcha, thank you @thakurtech.

This is a relatively new feature so I am not even sure if filtering media there is supported but I am trying to find out. I will post an update as soon as I know more.

Thanks again for flagging this gap in the plugin!

As it turns out, the new media inserter does not support filtering by capabilities at the moment. I have opened this issue, I hope this feature will be added soon.

I did a little bit more testing and noticed that, if Restrict Media Library Access is active, authors will not see ANY images in the Media Inserter, not even their own uploads.

I was not expecting my plugin to have any effect on the Media Inserter so I am a little bit confused by this. Are you still seeing ALL images @thakurtech?

Thanks Alvaro. Yes I am still seeing all images. I needed this feature for one of my project, I am currently working on.

I am also doing my research, how to achive this or alternate way to restrict it. I will share, if I found any work-arround.

I see, thank you for confirming this @thakurtech. Since this issue needs to be fixed upstream, I will mark the thread as resolved. If you do find a workaround, please do share it! Thanks again.
