• Hi – We have a network that utilizes the WP Offload S3 plugin to move WP uploads over to Amazon S3. This plugin has been around for a while and is pretty popular for use with S3/Cloudfront. I understand that you are not super familiar with it based on other tickets here regarding this – My question is that this conflict seems to only appear with the 3.x version of Regenerate and the move to the Rest API over AJAX. Do you know of any security issues or problems with your last 2.x version of the plugin? At least for a stopgap while Offload works on a potential fix, or if you know of any fix that could potentially make these plugins play well together again?

Thanks for your time – this plugin is insanely helpful for a multisite network with multiple themes for users to choose from.

Nope, no security issues with v2.3.1 that I’m aware of. The reason for the v3 rewrite was just to have more modern and maintainable code as well as better functionality.

You can download the old version here:

I’ll try to take a look at the source code of WP Offload S3 Lite and try it with a free S3 account.

Great – thanks for the quick response Alex. We’ll revert for now. FYI, the new version functionality is awesome. Some really cool updates with look and feel.

Thanks for the quick response – yes you can do it on a site install, is there a way to do it network wide?

I think so. Obviously regenerate-thumbnails.php will need to go into /wp-content/mu-plugins/ but I’m unsure if the regenerate-thumbnails folder itself (minus the plugin file) will need to go into plugins or mu-plugins. I think the former.
