Conflict with Property Hive Plugin

    Hi there, I am getting conflicts when I enable Easy Fancybox at the same time as Property Hive.

    I spoke to their team and apparently it is because they are using Fancybox v3 (the latest) and Easy Fancybox is using an older version.

    Is there a plan to update your plugin to V3 any time soon? Or a workaround to prevent the conflict?

  • Hi, the fancyBox 3 license is not GPL or even GPL-compatible so cannot be included in this plugin. It may at some point be added as an externally hosted script solution but… even then, running two light box scripts at the same time (even if they are the same script and the same version) is asking for trouble and unexpected results.

    The only way to prevent problems is to exclude one of the two scripts. If it is not possible to deactivate the light box script in Property Hive, then your only solution is to remove Easy FancyBox.

    You might be able to make use of the version included in Property Hive for all your light box needs? Or else find another light box that is not conflicting. But even then: be aware that your site will be heavier than it needs to be and conflicts or unexpected behavior may always turn up at some point…

    Thanks for the response – I will see if the Property Hive developers can incorporate some extra options for their fancybox integration.
