Conflict with Rankmath

Hi @kamaleon , is the issue happening even when there’s only the Jetpack and Rankmath plugins active? If not, could you test for other plugins and theme conflict with this guide.

What exactly doesn’t work with the Rank Math button? Are you not able to click on it or is it some options that you can’t access?

I tried it with only these 2 plugins yes.

In the editor, there is a button like your AI assistant. When jetpack is enabled and the setup done (this step is important) the rankmath AI button does not show anymore.

Hi @kamaleon , thanks for the screenshot, I see you’re referring to the Rankmath Content AI module. It’s a paid feature so I wasn’t able to test it fully. If you’re a paid user at Rankmath, I suggest asking their support directly on their site (or their forum), their team can test with Jetpack for free and gather more insights on what’s broken. If they share info about something that should be fixed on our end, let us know.

Normally with the free version you should also see that button.

Can you try it before installing jetpack?

I see what you mean; I did see the Rankmath button before activating Jetpack, but it disappeared when I activated it.

I’ll see what they say and open an issue with our developers if necessary.

It happens also with the free version of rankmath.

I already told rankmath support and they told to talk to jetpack support as it is a problem when jetpack is activated.

For now, I have jetpack disabled.

I reviewed that other thread and the resolution was to choose which AI feature (Jetpack’s or Rank Math’s) to keep active.

Were you able to deactivate Jetpack AI or do you need further help with that? You can deactivate the AI module by adding this filter to your site’s functions.php or using a plugin like Code Snippets:

add_filter( 'jetpack_ai_enabled', '__return_false' );

@ihenetudan I tried applying that filter since it was implemented as part of Jetpack 12.8, but it did not bring the Rankmath AI button back. Did you get a different result?

@happyaxident I didn’t give it a try. I had assumed that given the nature of the problem (as described in the related thread), disabling Jetpack AI with that filter would resolve it. Thanks for confirming by giving it a try and speedily reporting the conflict.
