I have been using Hummingbird Speed Optimisation plugin, and today I installed the Responsive Menu plugin. I tested it on several browsers using several mobile simulators (I don’t use a mobile phone for the internet). I found the mobile menu worked on Safari on a Mac, though not on all simulators, but didn’t work at all on Chrome and Brave.

I read a page which said that responsive menu javascript may conflict with caching and minifying javascript, so I deactivated Hummingbird – and then the responsive menu was fine. I really need the responsive menu, so for the moment I can live without Hummingbird, but hopefully the conflict can be resolved.

Do you know what exactly is causing this conflict?

I have reported the problem to Responsive Menu too. Thanks.

    Hello @unklee ,

I’m sorry for the delay on our end.

Are you using Asset Optimization in Hummingbird? If that script doesn’t like compressing, then I suggest checking if files of that plugins have all the features like compressing, deferring disabled.
Also, you can try to disable ” Cache on mobile devices ” in caching options.

Let me know if this will help.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
