Conflict with REST API

Hi,

my site’s REST API default posts URL /wp-json/wp/v2/posts/ is giving me a HTTP Status Code 200 but empty content. After some investigation I discovered that the cause is WP External Links plugin which I use exclusively to set nofollow and add rel=external to external links. Disabling the plugin conclusively fixes the problem.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?
