    Hi there,

I am considering using the “download button” block so that it will show the title and the count of how many people have downloaded my file before, though currently I am just using a button I made from scratch.

When I go to use the Download Button block, instead of showing the title and count, it shows the text from my Simple Banner plugin. This is a totally different unrelated plugin that has nothing to do with Download Monitor. It displays a popup banner at the top of my site. I posted on the Simple Banner forum asking why this is happening, and they said I should post on this forum instead.

    Thanks!

  • Hi @thedetoureffect,

From what I can tell this seems to be coming from that plugin which is interfering with Download Monitor. Nonetheless, I went ahead and opened a ticket regarding this incompatibility between the 2 plugins.

Our development team will investigate and if it’s something we can fix from our end, we will in a future update. You can follow the progress here: https://github.com/WPChill/download-monitor/issues/1162

In the meantime, you can still use the download button block, but you will need to select the Download from the block panel on the right. Another solution would be using a download’s shortcode instead of the block.

    Warmly,

    Mihaela
