Conflict with Slideshow Plugin

This plugin is just what I needed. However, there is a conflict with the Slideshow plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/. If shortcodes from both are used on the same page the slideshow renders as !slideshow_deploy!. I have it working in the template file but that is outside the formatting I have in the page so I would prefer to use the shortcode. Here is my test page:
